Michael Goldenberg, Of Counsel to Winograd, Shine & Zacks, P.C., has over 40 years of experience in a broad spectrum of business law, including mergers and acquisitions, secured lending, software distribution and licensing, and commercial real estate financing and leasing. Mr. Goldenberg advises diverse privately held businesses, including engineering and software and hardware, manufacturing, commercial real estate development and retail sales. His merger and acquisition experience includes several sales of closely held companies to NYSE and other public companies, as well as smaller private transactions.

Mr. Goldenberg is a graduate of the Dartmouth College and received his law degree from Columbia University, cum laude, in 1967. During his time at Columbia University, Mr. Goldenberg served as Editor-in-Chief of the Columbia Journal of Law & Social Problems from 1966-1967.

Mr. Goldenberg is admitted to the bars of Rhode Island and New York, and the United States Supreme Court. He is a member of the Rhode Island and American (Member, Business Law Section) Bar Associations, past member of Rhode Island Board of Bar Examiners 1997-2007 (Chairman 2001), member of Board of Directors of Rhode Island Legal Services, Inc. and past member of the Rhode Island Supreme Court Ethics Advisory Panel, past President of Legal Aid Society of Rhode Island and past Trustee and Finance Committee Chairman of East Greenwich Yacht Club.

In 2007-2008, Mr. Goldenberg served as Vice President and General Counsel of Dassault Systemes Simulia Corp. He was previously a partner in the Providence law firms of Goldenberg & Muri LLP and Licht & Semonoff. From 1968-1972, Mr. Goldenberg was an associate in the New York firm of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett. He was also Clerk to the Court, U.S. Court of Appeals, District of Columbia Circuit, in 1967-1968. Mr. Goldenberg is a member of the American Bar Association Section of Business Law and is also listed in the publication The Best Lawyers in America. In 2008, Mr. Goldenberg was selected by the New England Super Lawyers as one of Rhode Island's Super Lawyers.
